Marimekko's Melooni, Finnish for "melon", is one of Maija Isola's classic pattern designs from the 1960s. Exuding the swinging spirit of the era, the pattern consists of three oval forms in three different hues. Isola drew inspiration for the pattern from nature, as she often did in her design work, but decided to deconstruct the motif so that what was left was only an abstract, stylized design. Made of cotton and linen, the Melooni cushion has a polyester filling and a concealed zipper on one side.
