This Marimekko cushion cover is crafted entirely from recycled cotton. Its unprocessed and eco-conscious materials lend it a unique, organic look. Subtle variations in tone and flecks of differing colour are natural characteristics that make each piece distinct.

Maija Isola found inspiration for her design work during her time living in the Appalachian Mountains of North America. There, she wandered through the wilderness, gathering large botanical specimens that later became the foundation for both her artwork and textile designs. The soft and finely detailed Vuoren Kasvit (mountain plants) pattern was one such creation, first brought to life in 1979.
