Frequently Asked Questons
What is the difference between a sofa and a couch?
How do I protect my leather couch?
You can protect your leather couch by having it MicroSealed. MicroSeal is a permanent, non-toxic treatment that you apply to your leather couch to protect it from stains, general wear and tear, body oils, and fading from the sun. Environmentally and family-friendly, the product seals the fibres of your couch and makes cleaning it much easier. MicroSeal will remain in place and still protect your couch even if you have it professionally cleaned.
You can also help to protect your leather couch by removing dust and dirt with a warm damp cloth and using a good leather conditioner every six months or so. Use a special leather cleaner for stains, and when you want a thorough clean, contact a professional upholstery and leather cleaning company. Our care guide contains more information on how to care for your leather couch.
How can you tell the quality of leather?
All of our furniture is made from full-grain leather, which is the best quality leather you can buy. Full-grain leather is not mixed with other components in the way that bonded leather; instead, it is 100% leather. You can tell real leather by the smell, the feel, and the appearance of quality stitching. Some of our furniture is made from aniline leather, which is full-grain leather that has been dyed with soluble dyes. You’ll be able to see the hide’s natural grain, individual markings, and natural tonal changes.
